Palette – Personal Color – Color of your eyes

Personal color3

This post is about eyes related color (personal color) in your wardrobe.

In the past people wore white lace collars to bring attention to their faces (see l’Histoire du look, Perruques et Belle Dentelles by ARTE France). White color enlightened people’s faces as a projector.

However, white color is the most merciless color –  it accentuates all the possible imperfections of your face. Try it on yourself for the sake of experiment, wrap your neck and shoulders by an off white sheet.

Will discuss the problems with white color in  a separate post. Now, back to the eyes’ color. Which of the girls of Renoir’s painting attracts your immediate attention?

The eye related color make the wearer appear approachable, believable and credible.

If you want to connect with people and translate the message “I am not scary or remote, I am easy to be with” then you have to dress in your personal color. The logic of such an effect is quite simple. When you are dressed in a way that your eyes put into focus, your interlocutor cannot help but look right inside of your beautiful soul.

Now the question is what is the right color? To find the right color for monochromatic people (the color of your eyes are the same as your hair, e.g. black or brown) is quite easy. It becomes trickier with “colorful persons”, especially some eyes tend to change their color depending on the outfit. The trick is to chose the best colors that will make your eyes shine.
